Scope of Role

ITRS is looking for a Content Lead to own our editorial standard, and the programme that puts our executives in front of the market.

Reporting to the Head of Brand and Content, you will raise the quality of our voice, build the system that sustains it, and turn difficult technical subject matter into content that senior people in regulated finance want to read. This is a hands-on senior role. You will set the standard, and you will write to it. You will work closely with Platform Marketing, Demand Generation, Product and our executive team. You will also be the day-to-day editorial contact for our PR agency. You will work a hybrid work schedule from our London HQ.

As a Content Lead, you will:

  • Own the ITRS editorial voice, and the standards that hold it together across web, campaigns, sales collateral and executive communications.
  • Run the executive visibility programme: ghostwriting, briefing and shaping thought leadership for our CEO and leadership team across social, owned channels and earned media.
  • Build and run the editorial calendar against our growth priorities and the buyer journey.
  • Write the pieces that matter most, and set a high bar while doing so.
  • Commission, brief and edit work from stakeholders, freelancers and agencies, and hold it to that same bar.
  • Work with our PR agency alongside the Head of Brand and Content: briefing them, feeding them a pipeline of stories, preparing spokespeople, and turning placements into content we own.
  • Partner with Platform Marketing and subject matter experts across Product, Engineering, Presales and Customer Success to get the technical detail right.
  • Partner with Demand Generation so content earns its place in pipeline, not just in the calendar.
  • Set the governance for how content gets briefed, reviewed, approved, published and retired.
  • Mentor the content team as it grows, report on what is working with numbers, and retire what is not.

Requirements
  • 8+ years writing and editing B2B technology content, including 2+ years leading an editorial function or content team.
  • Proof of writing credibly for a technical, senior audience. We will ask to read the work, not a list of channels.
  • Experience in enterprise IT, observability, fintech or another regulated industry. If financial services is new to you, evidence that you get fluent in hard subject matter quickly.
  • A track record of ghostwriting for executives.
  • Editorial judgement: the ability to tell the difference between content that is finished and content that is just done.
  • Comfort working with subject matter experts who are busy and sceptical of marketing.
  • Experience working with a PR or communications agency: briefing them well, spotting which stories are worth pitching, and holding their output to your standard.
  • The ability to work inside a system, and to build one where none exists yet.

Desirable skills

  • A journalism background.
  • An understanding of how content gets surfaced in AI answer engines, and what that changes about how we write.
  • Video and audio scriptwriting.
  • Experience mentoring and developing writers.

Benefits
  • Health Insurance and Dental Health Cover for you and your dependants
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Pension
  • Flexible Hybrid Working
  • Enhanced Parental Leave
  • Travel Insurance
  • Life Assurance
  • Income Protection
  • Referral Bonus
  • Buy and Sell Holiday
  • Training Reimbursement
