We are looking for a Consumer Insights Intern to help inform a new generation of innovative products across our Shark & Ninja ranges. At SharkNinja, we thrive on designing great products that delight our customers. Working as part of our London office, you will act as the voice of the consumer, bringing insights into our product development process as we strive to make high-quality, relevant, innovative consumer goods.

We work with a hybrid model, 3 days a week in our iconic Battersea Power Station London office.
Here are some of the exciting things you'll be doing:
- Develop research plans and conduct qualitative (IDIs; focus groups; shelf assessments) and quantitative (surveys) consumer research for new product development and commercialization.
- Providing engineering and design teams with actionable insights to deliver consumer-centric products.
- Collaborating as part of a cross-functional, international team to deliver rigorous, relevant research.
- Translate feedback, including latent needs and dissatisfaction, into product innovation and development recommendations – working with teams over the course of the product development and launch cycle to ensure these are addressed.
- Managing a range of projects across both of our brands, ensuring that research is executed, and outputs delivered in a timely manner.
- Communicating effectively, professionally, and with confidence to cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrates creative and innovative thinking
- Effectively collaborates with consumer insights teams in the EU, UK and US to develop and publish a comprehensive understanding of consumer needs and expectations.
Here are some of the things you'll bring:
- Undergraduate or post-graduate level – ideally looking for a 1-year sandwich placement in industry (though not essential). Ideally with a focus on Marketing, Psychology, Economics, Consumer Research, or other applicable subject area
- Details make the difference – demonstrating meticulous research skills.
- Rarely satisfied – a dedication to continuous improvement of processes and methods.
- Communicating for impact – taking data and distilling this into clear, impactful insights for our product development, engineering, marketing and brand teams.
- Progress over perfection – striving for quality, whilst delivering results in a time-pressured, fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and collaborative – working both within your team and with cross-functional partners to deliver outcomes.
- Positive approach with an inquisitive nature.
- Foreign language skills are advantageous, but not essential.

Option 1
Choose one existing product from either our Shark or Ninja product ranges (links below). Using your research skills, identify consumer pain points with our product and present a short consumer insights report on these issues, identifying potential solutions to these problems.
Option 2
Choose one product from either our Shark or Ninja ranges. Using your research skills, adapt one of our products to solve for changing, future consumer behaviours. Please be clear about the problem you have identified and provide clear, impactful recommendations to develop your chosen product.
Option 3
Shark Ninja designs innovative products positively impact people’s lives every day in every home around the world. Using your research skills, identify a new national market that Shark Ninja could enter, providing insights into relevant national trends (e.g. cleaning cultures, or food and drink trends) and impactful recommendations to adapt our products to that market.
