The Consulting Systems Engineer role is an overlay mission to bring expertise to the different regions working together closely with Sales, Sales Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.

 

The roles primary focus is to relay the expertise with Public Cloud to the sales teams, customer and partners, conduct PoVs, and research integration with Fortinet’s comprehensive cybersecurity offerings.

 

As a member of the Fortinet EMEA public cloud team, you will work closely with the sales team to position the different solutions in public cloud, assist field Systems Engineers in their projects and report product evolution requests to Product Management.

 

Key role Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the go-to technical resource for Public Cloud and Application Cloud Security to assist the SE organization:

    • in supporting key projects to ensure Fortinet success

    • in leading technical discussions, articulating the technology and demonstrating differentiated value

    • in conducting compelling solution presentation, demonstrations and POVs

    • in responding to RFPs/RFIs: design, solution specification, product information

  • Being responsible to build technical material to support sales activities and design workshops

  • Effectively spread cloud and application security knowledge to the Sales Team and Channel

  • Point of contact for the Product Management team: responsible to report and consolidate customer needs across EMEA, validate business case, write and prioritize feature requests

  • Report project activities, analyze project trends and provide market vision

  • Participate in the development of commercial strategies

  • Participate in seminars

  • Being able to self-start and understand the addressable market for your designated technologies

  • Work closely with Product Managers and peer CSEs to provide your input on product direction and strategy

 

Required Skills and Technical Experience:

  • Extensive pre-sales experience

  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP

  • Experience in public speaking 

  • Excellent presentation and demo skills

  • Three to Five years of experience with cloud solutions and/or virtual platforms

  • Knowledge in modern software architecture using CI/CD, DevOps tools, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Scalability, and API first strategy

  • Working knowledge of Python, Java or other programming languages

  • Familiarity with relevant compliance standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF, as well as regulations for cloud security
  • Cloud certifications such as CSSP, Azure Security Architect, AWS Solution Architect or GCP Cloud Architect are a plus

  • A self-motivated, independent thinker

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cloud and/or security industry with 5+ years of experience.
