  • Advising on BHR matters in challenging locations, for example on mining projects in the DRC or construction projects in the Middle East.

Requirements

Key behaviours required:

  • A problem-solving, self-starting attitude, able to work independently within broad guidelines.
  • An ability to quickly and accurately understand a client’s needs and articulate a compelling solution based on our core principle of ‘practical innovation’.
  • Collaborative approach to teamwork and inter-team co-operation.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and project challenges.
  • Exceptional communication, research and presentation skills.
  • A balance of commercial entrepreneurialism with high standards of propriety and ethics.

Ideal background:

  • A good academic record in a relevant discipline or comparable practical skills demonstrated in a work environment.
  • A good level of relevant practical work experience in business and human rights, preferably with site-level experience.
  • A sound knowledge of core BHR laws, principles and frameworks (CSDDD, FLR, UNGPs, OECD Guidelines, IFC PS) and current trends.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for project delivery.

This is a great opportunity to join a high performing team in an internationally respected company, which has recently been ranked in Band 1 by Chambers and Partners.
