As Conference Producer, you will be a key player in the Risk.net Events team, contributing to a variety of projects while developing your skills and reaching new levels of expertise, backed by the growth plans and structure of a global organisation of 4,000+ employees across 20 countries.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Project Management

  • Keep to best-practice production timelines.
  • Project manage event production, operations, marketing and sales deadlines.
  • Research and develop new launch ideas.
  • Develop market-leading, innovative event programmes through market research.
  • Oversee event budgets and budget management.
  • Manage events on-site and lead speaker liaison.

Research, Content & Commercial

  • Conduct market research – mainly telephone and face-to-face, but also desk-based research and attendance at external events.
  • Research and meet with potential sponsors, developing commercial formats that deliver value to sponsors.
  • Research, confirm and manage speakers.
  • Write marketing, sales and telesales briefs that explain events to the wider team.
  • Work with the editorial team to deliver bespoke content opportunities, and write market-leading content marketing copy.
  • Proofread event materials.
  • Drive website content – working with marketing to keep websites up to date and engaging, including event content and speaker biographies and photos.

Regional Strategy

EMEA Risk.net Portfolio

  • Deliver the Risk.net events portfolio from our London Liverpool Street office, embedded within the wider EMEA Risk Global team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior industry experts, speakers and sponsors across UK and European financial markets, derivatives, regulation and fintech communities.
  • Bring market intelligence from telephone, face-to-face and desk-based research into programme development, ensuring EMEA content stays ahead of regional regulatory and market trends.
  • Work cross-functionally with editorial, marketing and sales teams based in the region to maximise commercial and content outcomes.

Requirements
  • Strong research and analytical skills, both phone-based and face-to-face.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including content-led marketing copy.
  • Proven ability to project-manage complex, multi-stakeholder events.
  • Confidence engaging with senior industry experts and speakers.
  • Ability to generate innovative ideas for new event products and formats.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Comfortable working on-site at events and leading speaker liaison.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, History, Politics, Economics, Communications or the sciences is preferred.
  • Proactive, curious, high-energy and results-oriented – a reputation for getting things done.
  • Industry knowledge of financial markets (derivatives & capital markets, risk management), insurance, or financial technology is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous relevant work experience in a conference or events research environment.
  • Very strong attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Ability to build business relationships at all levels, and to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
