As a CCOR - Surveillance Lead (Surveillance Strategy) - Vice President within the Global Strategy team, you will be a key player in advancement of the global trade surveillance program. Your role will involve driving strategic surveillance enhancements and initiatives across the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB), Wealth Management and Asset Management Surveillance programs on a global scale, with a focus on regional regulatory needs where applicable. You will work closely with stakeholders across Surveillance, Technology and Data teams to promote our global program and its responsibilities. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee matters related to data-driven threshold tuning and optimization, surveillance coverage, and innovation across trade surveillance.
  • Leverage prior subject matter expertise in trade surveillance data and review processes to guide the design of innovative solutions, with the overarching goal of increasing compliance risk management effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Proactively engaging with stakeholders and maintaining collaborative partnerships across Surveillance, Data Science, Technology, vendors, and other internal teams.
  • Keep current on regulatory changes / priorities, and industry trends / best practices to ensure the firm's surveillance products remain current and effective.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on trade surveillance products to internal stakeholders.
  • Adapt to the fast-paced and flexible nature of agile product development.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in a regulatory, compliance or related environment (e.g., markets technology, supervisory oversight).
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals across business and/or functional lines.
  • Track record of delivering specific and tangible outcomes, using common delivery disciplines (project plans / sprint planning, dates, reporting, etc.).
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with above-the-line/below-the-line testing and parameter tuning, including with vendor systems (e.g. NTS SMARTS).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities to meet business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, relationship skills.
  • An understanding of, or interest in, emerging technologies in the surveillance space including machine learning and large language models.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working on strategic initiatives, preferably in the compliance/regulatory/surveillance environment - including defining requirements, conducting analysis, and UAT testing.
