About this role in the team:

We are seeking a UK Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance for our UK Electronic Money Institution.

This role sits within our 2nd line of defence, maintaining the compliance monitoring framework, firm-wide policies, overseeing safeguarding and conduct rules, and reviewing financial promotions. Your primary focus will be the UK, but, as part of a global team, you will get the opportunity to support other regions and company-wide initiatives.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • UK Regulatory Compliance Framework: Operationalise and maintain the firm’s compliance policies and procedures in strict alignment with the applicable regulators and the FCA Handbook (SYSC, SUP, CASS/Safeguarding, DISP, and Consumer Duty).
  • Horizon Scanning: Track evolving UK regulatory developments.
  • Senior Management & Board Reporting: Prepare regulatory compliance reporting packs, KPIs, and compliance monitoring outcomes for the Head of Compliance, Executive Risk Committees, and Board of Directors.
  • FCA Regulatory Engagement: Assist with regulatory notifications and periodic regulatory returns.
  • Operational Resilience: Collaborate with IT and Operations to ensure compliance with operational resilience frameworks, business continuity plans (BCP), and third-party outsourcing requirements.
  • Consumer Duty: Monitor product design, customer journeys, price and value assessments, and customer support channels to ensure alignment with FCA Consumer Duty outcomes.
  • Financial Promotions Sign-Off: Serve as the designated compliance approver for all marketing materials, advertising campaigns, website content, and social media promotions targeting UK retail customers.
  • Complaints Handling Oversight: Oversee the 2nd Line review of customer complaints handling processes, ensuring compliance with DISP rules and root-cause analysis reporting to prevent systemic issues.
  • Regulatory Advisory: Act as the primary regulatory compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product, engineering, and commercial teams launching new payment features, APIs, stablecoin capabilities, or digital asset services in the UK.
  • New license applications: Support any future application for the UK’s new cryptoasset regulatory regime.

What we need from you:

  • Experience: Relevant experience in a similar compliance role within financial services (preferably in a  fintech or crypto firm)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business or a related discipline
  • Professional Qualifications: Preferably at least one recognised professional compliance qualification (e.g. ICA)

What you can expect from us:

  • Fair and competitive salary at every stage of your growth
  • Flexible working hours, with hybrid working at its heart
  • A culture built on passionate, growth-minded people
  • A flexible approach to holiday
  • Opportunities to travel to our offices around the world
  • An open and creative environment where you can help us define the future of BVNK, its culture, and its opportunity sets

At BVNK, we are focused on building a diverse and inclusive team. While you may not meet all of our requirements, we’d encourage you to apply if you meet the majority of our expectations. You may be a great fit for this role or another role in our team.
