Dojo from the get-go

First launch was back in 2009. So with over 15 years in the payments industry, we’ve got a story to tell.

Dojo is built to soothe customer and consumer pain points across the world for over 140,000 customers.

And today, there’s over 1000 of us in multiple locations across the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Italy.

Our mission is to empower businesses to thrive in the experience economy by creating the tools and tech that turn transactions into meaningful relationships.

We do that through sophisticated EPOS payments integrations, fast transactions, hospitality bookings, and a strong consumer restaurant app.

The Role...

As a Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring Dojo remains compliant with FCA regulatory requirements while also mitigating financial crime risks across the business.

You will work closely with the wider Compliance team - with a consultative and proactive approach, you will embed robust compliance frameworks and support the business in navigating complex regulatory and financial crime challenges.

This is a cross-functional role, offering the opportunity to collaborate across teams and shape the compliance culture within Dojo.

What you will do…

  • Keep up to date with the regulatory and financial crime landscape, ensuring Dojo remains compliant with FCA regulations, payment schemes, and relevant financial crime laws
  • Provide oversight and assurance of Dojo’s internal compliance systems, controls, and procedures
  • Act as a subject matter expert on KYC, CDD, AML and financial crime risk management, escalating issues as needed
  • Support with financial promotions, complaints handling, and regulatory reporting
  • Assist in the execution of annual risk assessments, incorporating conclusions into Dojo’s compliance and financial crime policies

What you will bring...

  • Experienced Compliance specialist with strong experience in regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance (AML, ABC, sanctions, and fraud prevention) within a financial-related industry (preferably acquiring, eMoney or payments)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing FCA regulatory compliance requirements, including understanding payment services regulations, eMoney directives
  • Proven ability to navigate and interpret complex regulatory frameworks, simplifying requirements for implementation across the business
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working collaboratively across departments to embed a compliance culture
  • Pragmatic, commercial, and solution-oriented approach to compliance challenges, balancing regulatory requirements with business goals
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.

Our drive to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion is closely linked to helping employees thrive and innovating for better customer experiences.

If you care about your work, you’re curious, and you think customer-first, you have a place at Dojo.
