We’re reinventing payments.
In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.

Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year.
But we’re just getting started.

Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.

The role

As Compliance Lead you will support operational compliance work, help to maintain our overall company policies, and lead on assisting various business areas on understanding and embedding regulatory requirements.

We’re looking for a mid-level, generalist operational compliance lead to join our fast-paced, growing payments financial technology company. You will hit the ground running from the start, and so we look for people who relish that kind of challenge and pace in helping the business.

We’re a close-knit team and pride ourselves on a culture of communication and transparency. We invite people of all backgrounds to apply.

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Ensuring appropriate internal oversight is established in accordance with FCA and other regulatory requirements (FOS, PSR), including advising on a variety of regulatory rules, requirements and guidance.

  • Reviewing and approving customer communications and financial promotions.

  • Reviewing, developing and embedding collaborative compliance oversight and assurance, particularly around internal processes and procedures.

  • Drafting policies and procedures, and collaborating with stakeholders across the business to agree content, minimum standards and controls - including providing training.

  • Reviewing and challenging business proposals to ensure that there has been adequate consideration of regulatory requirements, and evidencing appropriate actions to ensure delivery of fair customer outcomes.

  • Assisting in the delivery of timely responses to external regulatory enquiries - particularly FCA reporting.

About you:

  • A mid-level compliance manager/officer with an extensive background and experience in payments (acquiring, card issuing) or similar related field

  • Strong regulatory reporting experience

  • An ability to apply FCA regulations in a way that is user-friendly for a varied audience, and how to seek early engagement for compliance initiatives and programmes.

  • Experience of working in a compliance team in a scale-up environment is welcomed, as is exposure you’ve had to operating in different jurisdictions.

  • Interest in working with an e-money and payments business, ideally focused on merchant acquiring, and an enthusiasm for innovation in technology.

  • Strong experience in the implementation of  Consumer Duty

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
