About us:

Linklaters is a global law firm, providing legal services in 20 countries and through 30 offices.

Linklaters is a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.

We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.

Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere.

We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common goal.

The Role:

As Communications Manager, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver communications for major change and transformation projects across Linklaters. Reporting into the People Communications Lead, you will create clear, accessible messages that help colleagues understand and engage with change initiatives. Working closely with programme teams, project managers, and communications colleagues, you’ll turn complex updates into practical, audience-focused content that drives engagement and supports firmwide priorities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the People Communications Lead, Change Communications Lead, and Gen AI & Tech Communications Lead to design and implement communications strategies for key programmes, including technology transformation and organisational change.

  • Draft and deliver high-quality content—such as intranet articles, email updates, FAQs, slide decks, video scripts, and event materials—tailored for different employee audiences.

  • Coordinate engagement activities that support change adoption, including digital briefings, workshops, town halls, and virtual drop-ins.

  • Translate complex project milestones and technical updates into clear, accessible messages for non-specialist audiences.

  • Maintain an organised communications plan and tracker, ensuring deadlines, approvals, and actions are met.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather information, validate messaging, and ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

  • Monitor feedback and campaign impact, reporting insights to senior communications leads and recommending refinements to strategies.

  • Support the development of toolkits and guidance for managers and local offices to enable effective cascade of change messages.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience in internal communications or employee engagement, ideally within a large or complex organisation.

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft clear, audience-focused messages across multiple channels.

  • Proven ability to manage projects and campaigns under tight deadlines with strong organisational skills.

  • Collaborative and proactive approach, confident in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Digital fluency, including experience with intranets, content management systems, and analytics tools.

  • Creativity, discretion, and a solutions-focused mindset to drive continuous improvement.

What's on offer:

This role can be based in our London offices, with a hybrid working model available. Joining Team Linklaters will see you qualify for a range of benefits designed to reward the vital contribution you'll be making to our success. These include:
