The Epic Communications team advances the company’s narrative and represents Epic products and the company vision to external and internal audiences globally. We create positive relationships and engagement strategies with a wide range of audiences, including media, investors, influencers, and policymakers.

What You'll Do

Epic Games is seeking an experienced Communications Director to oversee EMEA communications across our portfolio of products, including Fortnite and emerging ecosystem initiatives. This role takes a country-first strategy, ensuring each market’s needs and nuances shape a tailored approach while staying aligned with global priorities. You will work closely with EMEA country teams, as well as US based partners. You’ll serve as the connective tissue between what is happening on the ground in key markets and the global teams.

In this role, you will
  • Lead the EMEA communications strategy by developing proactive strategies that reflect the particular needs and opportunities within each country
  • Build deep and trusted relationships with EMEA teams to stay closely connected to what’s happening in each country
  • Establish a scalable process to monitor for and act on key topics most important to the business at large
  • Drive communications across EMEA in partnership with cross functional stakeholders in Product, Global Communications, Legal, Public Policy, and regional publishing teams
  • Operate with senior-level independence, advising cross-functional leaders and guiding communications decisions across a large and complex multi-country portfolio.
What we're looking for
  • 12+ years of experience in Communications, ideally within consumer technology, gaming, or other complex multi-product environments
  • Experience overseeing multi-country EMEA communications and working across countries with different languages, regulatory landscapes, and cultural nuances.
  • Proven success leading communications for live-service, community-driven, or fandom-based products with highly engaged player or user bases.
  • Strong instinct for rapid response with demonstrated ability to handle multiple evolving situations simultaneously within a very fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships with country teams, executives, cross-functional partners, and agency leads.
  • Someone who is user-focused, passionate, solutions-focused, and innovative. These traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do.
