An exciting opportunity to deliver campaigns across one of UM’s top clients – Kenvue. The successful candidate will play a significant role in the team, driving forward innovative thinking, as well as media planning excellence across digital and offline channels.

The Communications Planner is tasked with playing a vital role in the client-facing account management team. This role focuses on the full campaign lifecycle, from taking in new briefs, to creating exciting media plans across all online and offline channels, through to overseeing activation and post-campaign analyses.

You will work with Communication Manager and Communication Director to deliver innovative and effective media plans, whilst having autonomy to develop cross channel planning skills within the team. You will have excellent people skills, be confident in planning online and offline campaigns, and have a good understanding of reporting and measurement requirements.

Role Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the day to day management of client relationships, along with the rest of the team, earning the trust and respect of the client and key contacts.
  • Collaborate closely with media partners to align performance against client expectation and new opportunities.
  • Work seamlessly with Strategy and Specialist teams to ensure brilliant thinking is turned into brilliant implementation.
  • Understand the importance of brilliant basics. These brilliant basics include replying to client emails within a timely manner, sense checking your work, dressing appropriately and keeping up with financial reconciliations.
  • Collaborate closely with media partners to align performance against client expectation and new opportunities.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the online and offline landscape in the UK.
  • Experience producing competitor reports using Nielson Ad Dynamix / Ad Intel.
  • Ensuring numerical accuracy when delivering campaign reporting/analysis and managing relevant financial processes.
  • Support the Communications Manager and Communications Director in implementing the right process and procedures for effective day to day management of all activity.
  • Responsible for the day to day management of the Communications Executive, supporting them with workload, training and career progression.
  • Accountability: on-going tracking of value and quality deliveries and attendance at reviews.
  • Share knowledge and understanding across the team and wider agency.​​

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A Planner with experience and is passionate about media and the role an agency can play in the evolving communications mix.​
  • Expertise in using audience planning tools such as TGI, YouGov, Comscore & Touchpoints, Power Point, Excel and finance programs such as DDS and Prisma.​
  • Highly organised individual with experience in managing digital campaigns.
  • Exceptional attention to detail​.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills​.
  • Highly personable, collaborative and team-oriented​.
  • Enthusiastic and pro-active, always looking to make positive contribution and get involved​.
  • Dedicated, diligent with a curious and creative mindset​.
  • A self-motivated and driven person who has an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to succeed and achieve​.
  • Experience working on a range of brands, and across a wide range of channels. Ideally someone with digital first experience who has been responsible for the implementation and management of campaigns. Be highly ambitious, with a thirst for continual learning and improvement.
