Purpose of the role

To drive the successful implementation and commercial realization of the bank's strategic goals, ensuring alignment with market trends and delivering sustained financial performance.

Accountabilities

  • Understanding and interpretation of the bank's overall strategic objectives and translate them into concrete action plans for specific business units and functions.
  • Development of detailed implementation roadmaps, outlining key initiatives, timelines, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
  • Development and implementation of robust commercial models for new initiatives and ventures, ensuring financial viability and profitability.
  • Identification and analysis of potential risks and opportunities, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  • Development and implementation of effective change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new initiatives and processes.

Join us as a Commercial Planning Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in building the commercial capability of a newly formed team dedicated to driving sustainable sales growth across Customer Care. You will shape how we design and execute commercial plans, ensuring we have the right strategies, measures, and long‑term capabilities to deliver stronger performance year after year. This includes identifying commercial gaps, developing future‑fit planning frameworks, and embedding a “sales through service” mindset that elevates customer experience while accelerating revenue. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners to align resources, strengthen commercial discipline, and ensure our plans are both ambitious and achievable, ultimately helping to build a function equipped for long‑term commercial success.

To excel in this role, you should demonstrate:

  • Leading a cross‑functional squad, collaborating across Customer Care channels

  • Navigating a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders and shared ownership

  • Strong knowledge of how to run and optimise a distribution channel

  • Ability to optimise commercial campaigns, ensuring they drive measurable uplift

  • A data‑driven approach to decision‑making, planning, and performance tracking

  • A sales‑focused mindset, with an emphasis on “sales through service”

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of distribution channels and how they operate in a retail banking or commercial environment

  • A strong commercial mindset, with the ability to translate insights into revenue‑driving actions
