As our next Commercial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance and strategic scalability of the UK’s go-to home improvement marketplace. From managing the P&L that fuels our growth to partnering with senior leadership to optimize capital allocation, your work will ensure our commercial engine is lean, profitable, and primed for expansion.

Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:

  • Driving Commercial Performance: Owning the budgeting and forecasting cycles for our Consumer division, ensuring all growth initiatives align with our long-term financial targets and EBITDA goals.

  • Optimizing Spend & ROI: Building rigorous financial frameworks to evaluate marketing spend, product investment, and unit economics, ensuring every pound deployed delivers maximum shareholder value.

  • Strategic Financial Business Partnering: Collaborating with the VP of Consumer and Finance heads to provide the data-backed narratives needed for board-level reporting and investment decision-making.

  • Revenue & Pricing Strategy: Identifying margin-expansion opportunities and refining our commercial models to ensure we remain the most efficient marketplace for homeowners and tradespeople alike.

It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about being commercially astute and ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring:

  • Commercial or Financial Expertise: Experience in commercial management, FP&A, or strategic finance, ideally within a high-growth marketplace, SaaS, or digital platform.

  • Data-Driven Rigor: A mastery of growth economics and financial modeling. You don't just see numbers; you see the story they tell about our business health and trajectory.

  • High-Stakes Communication: The ability to translate complex financial variances and forecasts into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.

  • A Pragmatic Mindset: Confidence navigating ambiguous fiscal environments and the ability to pivot strategies based on real-time performance data.

We believe great work deserves great rewards. Here’s just a taste:

  • Competitive salary + annual bonus

  • Employee Share Program

  • Health, well-being and learning support

  • Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme and Cycle Scheme

  • Birthday/Special day leave

  • Buy & sell holiday scheme

  • 1 week’s paid charity leave and much more!

How we’ll get to know each other:

  1. Screening call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners

  2. 1st stage interview with the Commercial Director

  3. 2nd Stage interviews with our VP of Consumer & COO

  4. Final stage interview includes a commercial case study and modeling exercise

If this sounds like the place where you can do your best work, we’d love to hear from you, even if you don’t tick every box.
