Job Description

As an Commercial Assistant you’ll be responsible for supporting the commercial team and contributing towards its success across the full lifecycle of each project — from Measuring completed works to Approving Sub contractor supply chain applications. You will be supporting:

  • Contract management in line with JTC ,NEC 3/4 (Options A & C)
  • Subcontractor negotiations, payments, and performance tracking
  • Deliver accurate and timely Completed works measures and Billing Processes
  • Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and generate Earned Value Analysis reports, whilst maintaining robust commercial documentation

United Infrastructure is looking for an Commercial Assistant to join our team.

As part of a dynamic, fast-growing division, you'll be at the heart of nationally significant infrastructure projects that will shape the UK’s future.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

As an Commercial Assistant you’ll be responsible for supporting the commercial team and contributing towards its success across the full lifecycle of each project — from Measuring completed works to Approving Sub contractor supply chain applications. You will be supporting:

  • Contract management in line with JTC ,NEC 3/4 (Options A & C)
  • Subcontractor negotiations, payments, and performance tracking
  • Deliver accurate and timely Completed works measures and Billing Processes
  • Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and generate Earned Value Analysis reports, whilst maintaining robust commercial documentation.

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role we would like you to have:

  • Must have Experience in NHF SoR Rates or similar Bespoke Sor Rates

  • Familiarity with the construction industry
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 (grade C or above), including Math, English, and ideally a Science
  • Any previous Level 4 related qualification or equivalent discipline is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Basic understanding of standard methods of measurement
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility
  • Willingness to take responsibility for own development and extend knowledge of software packages
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable 
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
