We are looking for 2 x Cloud Engineers to support the next delivery phase of SCOUT, an AI-driven assurance platform used to improve the efficiency and quality of Government Major Project reviews.

SCOUT has completed private beta and is now moving into a phase focused on automation, scalability, security, and wider organisational adoption.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for deploying and supporting AI services on Amazon Web Services, with a strong focus on AWS Bedrock, ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, and usable by non-technical teams.

The work centres on infrastructure, integration, and light service changes — not greenfield application development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and manage AI services using AWS Bedrock
  • Configure infrastructure and environment variables for AI API access
  • Deploy and manage services including ECS, S3, Cognito, and RDS
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Make minor updates to existing microservices where required
  • Ensure the platform supports a test environment of ~100 users
  • Enable smooth operation for non-technical project leadership
  • Support secure integration with key datasets (EAS, GRIP, GRIP+)
Platform Objectives You’ll Support
  • Full automation of document processing and user onboarding
  • Secure, direct document uploads (no external hosting dependencies)
  • System admin capability for enterprise user management
  • Improved chat interface and support for concurrent users
  • Progression toward full security accreditation
  • Expansion of SCOUT usage across assurance and review teams
Nice to Have (Time Permitting)
  • Experience with data analysis across multiple datasets
  • Familiarity with report generation or structured document outputs
  • Interest in collaborative tooling and knowledge sharing features
Requirements
  • Strong AWS experience in production environments
  • Hands-on Terraform experience
  • Understanding of secure, scalable cloud platforms
  • Ability to work in a regulated / government environment
  • Active SC Clearance (or ability to obtain)
