Clinical Services Manager - Consultant Nurse
Circle Integrated Care - Wolverhampton
37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £68,182.38 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Services Manager to join their team of staff.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Part time hours may also be considered.

Duties of this role include:

  • Act as an expert practitioner demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and skills beyond traditional nursing roles within dermatology services.
  • Exercise advanced clinical judgement, discretion and decision-making in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with complex dermatological conditions.
  • Lead the dermatology service alongside the Lead Doctor, ensuring safe, effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentorship and support to nursing and non-medical staff within the dermatology service.
  • Contribute to clinical governance through participation in audit, research and quality improvement programmes.
  • Demonstrate expert communication skills when managing highly complex or sensitive patient situations.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Degree in Nursing or equivalent demonstrable experience at this level.
  • Specialist post-registration qualification in Dermatology.
  • Non-Medical Prescriber qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at Band 7 or above within dermatology services.
  • Advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Advanced expert knowledge of dermatology nursing and chronic skin disease management.
  • Experience leading and managing clinical teams.
  • Experience delivering education, mentorship and formal presentations.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development and application of research into practice.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, audit and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and multidisciplinary working skills.
  • Ability to independently manage complex patient presentations and make autonomous clinical decisions.
