This role is part of the Issuer Services Business Development team, contributing to sustainable growth by building and nurturing relationships with both existing and prospective clients. You will play an important role in developing the client pipeline, identifying new opportunities, shaping tailored proposals, and supporting positive commercial outcomes.

As a Business Development Manager, you will help drive growth initiatives by supporting the execution of strategies that enhance client engagement, market presence, and long-term value creation. The role focuses on identifying and progressing opportunities in a structured and collaborative way, ensuring alignment with broader business goals while delivering meaningful results.

You will work closely with a wide range of internal teams to develop high-quality proposals, manage opportunities effectively, and ensure a smooth and supportive onboarding experience for clients. The role also emphasizes building strong, lasting relationships, contributing to a positive client experience, and supporting initiatives that enhance visibility, collaboration, and sustainable business growth.

It focuses on identifying, developing, and progressing new opportunities in line with corporate objectives, while working collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders. The Business Development Manager contributes to the execution of growth strategies, supports the evolution of client offerings, and helps ensure that initiatives are delivered in a way that balances commercial success with regulatory and performance standards.

Key priorities include supporting the successful launch and positioning of new products and services, enhancing the effectiveness of the business development approach, and using data and insights to strengthen pipeline performance and decision-making. The role also involves tracking key metrics, contributing to reporting processes, and continuously improving ways of working, while fostering a collaborative environment that enables teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience throughout the business development lifecycle.
 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the development and management of the new client pipeline through the Future and Existing Client Programmes, contributing to sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate and deliver high-quality business proposals using tools such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Contribute to the progression of business development opportunities throughout the annual cycle, supporting activities from initial identification through to successful onboarding and implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships during the onboarding process, ensuring a positive experience and encouraging client feedback and testimonials.
  • Support research into new business opportunities, helping to ensure resources are focused effectively to deliver strong outcomes.
  • Work alongside marketing and internal teams to identify and support events and communications that strengthen relationships and enhance market visibility.
  • Maintain and monitor sales and relationship reporting, contributing to both regional and global insights.
  • Provide support on administrative, due diligence, and reporting activities as needed, contributing to the smooth running of the function.

The Business Development Manager brings experience in financial services or in a regulated environment, along with strong stakeholder management skills to build effective relationships with both internal teams and external clients. An understanding of how cross-functional teams work together to achieve shared goals is important, as well as a collaborative mindset and a commitment to acting with integrity and in line with regulatory and business standards.

This role contributes to a range of business development initiatives, from supporting short-term opportunities to enabling longer-term, sustainable growth. You will be encouraged to manage your pipeline and priorities in a way that works best for you, while collaborating with others to deliver high-quality outcomes. A proactive and organized approach, combined with a willingness to learn and contribute ideas, will support success in the role and help drive positive impact across the business.
