Client Assistant, Sponsorship & Consultancy | MKTG Sports & Entertainment | London | Permanent

We are looking for a Client Assistant to join the MKTG team to work on delivering and implementing some of the most exciting collaborations in Sport and Entertainment!

We are part of Dentsu Sports International, a global sports network comprised of MKTG Sports & Entertainment and Dentsu Sports, a leading sports rights holder including federations, leagues, events, teams, and venues.

Purpose of the Role

As a Client Assistant in Sponsorship + Consultancy, we look to you to support your client teams in delivering the best solutions that MKTG can offer. Your role will focus on supporting primarily the Client Executives but also the wider team on the day-to-day delivery of projects. You are instrumental in supporting the high performance of our client teams.

This role will report to the Senior Project Manager and is based in London.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Client Assistant to join our team to support in delivering the commercial partnership programme for a leading international sports federation. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world's leading international federations, collaborating with globally recognised brands and helping deliver exceptional partner experiences both remotely and onsite.

The successful candidate will support the planning and execution of sponsorship rights across a portfolio of federation events, working closely with internal teams, event organisers, partners and suppliers.

What you’ll do

Client Servicing/Account Management:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with key clients.

  • Respond in a timely and accurate manner to client requests for information, working seamlessly with internal stakeholders and colleagues across the network in order to deal with their requests.

  • Attend and coordinate client meetings and updates.

  • Update weekly client notes and project trackers where necessary.

  • Carry out client competitive research from time to time working with our insights team.

  • Develop an understanding of client's businesses, how they make money and the role of sponsorships within their business.

Project Management:

  • Support the team with all aspects of client campaigns/projects, from basic admin to campaign support and ideation. Participate in and help to coordinate creative brainstorms where required.

  • Work with the team on delivering multiple successful and profitable client projects whilst exceeding brief expectations / objectives.

  • Maintain awareness of team’s obligations in order to proactively assist and / or anticipate needs.

  • Coordinate status updates with rights holders and clients circulating meeting agendas, participate and contribute to the discussion.

Administration:

  • Support with team administration such as booking of travel, handling expenses and invoices, arranging meetings etc.

  • Coordinating finance requirements on projects using company systems and processes effectively (have knowledge on how to set up job numbers, estimates etc.)

  • Complete timesheets and other day-to-day admin tasks timely and accurately

Culture & Values:

  • Contribute to agency culture by getting involved in company / team initiatives.

New Business & Marketing:

  • Support our agency marketing with research etc.

  • Contribute to marketing / promotion of the agency on platforms like social media.

  • Assist and help where required on new business opportunities.

Self-Development:

  • Proactively take interest in industry news and share knowledge/the latest with the wider team.

  • Seek out and actively learn new skills (through relevant training, webinars etc.) to develop and increase knowledge.

  • Plan and agree short- and long-term goals with your line manager, drive your career development.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, with a desire to pursue a career in the sponsorship discipline of the Sport & Entertainment industry.   • Competent with using Microsoft Office products.

  • Comfortable with finance, spreadsheets and numeracy

  • Personable ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Capable of working under pressure.
