Role overview   
 

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Manager to join us in Motor Claims to help shape and deliver our Third Party and TPPD strategy, driving commercial performance and creating sustainable value across the claims journey.
You’ll be an expert in your area, driving commercial leading change and improvement through varied trading levers. You’ll have a tangible impact within the business by delivering indemnity savings and optimising our claims spend, supporting our transformation into a best-in-class claims function.

Job details – you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in: 
 

• Identifying and unlocking data-led opportunities that improve indemnity, customer and operational outcomes, influencing priorities and securing delivery across Commercial, Supplier Management, Engineering, Operations and Audit teams
• Building and leading high performing supplier partnerships, using commercial insight and robust governance to maximise customer experience, service excellent and financial performance
• Anticipating, managing and mitigating operational and commercial risks, strengthening resilience and ensuring continuity across a critical area of the business
• Owning the commercial success of a key claims portfolio, delivering measurable improvements in cost, control, customer outcomes and strategic performance
• Challenging the status quo by identifying trading opportunities, influencing stakeholders and driving initiatives that enhance profitability and competitive advantage

Essential skills/experience:   
 

• Claims/insurance experience is highly beneficial or commercial management experience from other regulated industries such as financial services, energy etc.
• Proven commercial and analytical ability – able to understand how data drives the best decision-making and able to translate complex data into a logical and structured way, explaining to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable with innovation and disruption in an ever-evolving industry – able to demonstrate how you’ve driven performance in a similar role
• Strong leadership skills – able to coach, mentor and develop more junior team members
