Role overview   
 

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Manager to join our TPPD Claims team to deliver the execution of our commercial and trading strategy.
You’ll be an expert in your area, driving commercial leading change and improvement through varied trading levers. You’ll have a tangible impact to the business by delivering indemnity savings and optimising our claims spend, supporting our transformation into a best-in-class claims function.

  

Job details – you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in: 
 

  • Supporting the delivery of our Third Party/TPPD strategy to maximise commercial outcomes

  • Driving data-led performance improvement opportunities, working across our matric (including Commercial, Supplier Management, Engineering, Operations, Audit etc.) and external suppliers to prioritise, secure resource and deliver outcomes

  • Managing contractual relationships with external suppliers to achieve excellent commercial and customer outcomes

  • Managing risk and business continuity within the department, developing appropriate strategies to mitigate threats

  • Owning the commercial performance of a key component of claims

  • Identifying trading performance improvement opportunities

  

  

Essential skills/experience:   
 

  • Claims/insurance experience is highly beneficial or commercial management experience from other regulated industries such as financial services, energy etc.

  • Proven commercial and analytical ability – able to understand how data drives the best decision-making and able to translate complex data into a logical and structured way, explaining to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Comfortable with innovation and disruption in an ever evolving industry – able to demonstrate how you’ve driven performance in a similar role

  • Strong leadership skills – able to coach, mentor and develop more junior team members
