The Opportunity:

As Claims Account Manager Lead, you’ll be the face of UK Claims across the market, shaping our proposition, strengthening critical partnerships, and ensuring our claims performance and expertise are valued, recognised, and truly understood.

You’ll step into a senior, visible role with the opportunity to:

Build & Lead:

  • Establish and lead a best-in-class Claims Account Management capability

  • Set the standard for claims engagement, service delivery and partner experience

Own Key Relationships:

  • Build, deepen, and sustain high‑value relationships with brokers, customers, and strategic partners

  • Act as a trusted escalation point for service excellence

Shape Our Market Proposition:

  • Proactively promote and evolve Markel’s market-facing claims proposition across all product lines

  • Ensure our strategy and capabilities are clearly articulated and differentiated

Champion Claims Across Markel:

  • Advocate for the value and contribution of claims at every level

  • Influence internal partners and support major commercial initiatives

Drive Engagement on Key Clients:

  • Serve as the claims lead on major client relationships, working closely with Distribution, Underwriting and Business Development

  • Lead structured claims review meetings with brokers and clients

Monitor & Improve Performance:

  • Use dashboards, metrics and reporting to spot trends early

  • Maintain consistent, high‑quality engagement through the claim lifecycle

What You’ll Bring:

You're someone with presence, credibility and commercially savvy. You know how to influence, how to collaborate, and how to strengthen relationships that matter.

You will have:

  • Strong experience building and maintaining customer, broker, and partner relationships

  • Excellent partner engagement and advocacy skills

  • A deep understanding of UK claims operations, service delivery and performance measurements

  • Commercial awareness of the insurance landscape

  • A track record of delivery, accountability, and problem‑solving

  • Confidence communicating and influencing at all levels

  • A positive, proactive and collaborative style
