At Zeelo, we’re on a mission to revolutionize how frontline workers commute by delivering reliable, sustainable, and scalable transportation solutions. We partner with global leaders like Amazon, Barclays, and UPS, and we’re expanding after a successful Series B raise. If you’re passionate about building solutions, working in a scaling organization, and seeing the direct impact of your work—this is your seat on the bus.

Quick Summary of role: We’re looking for a Charter (Private Hire) Sales Lead (UK & Ireland) to grow Zeelo’s Private Hire / Charter business across large events, seasonal peak transport, and ad-hoc customer requirements. This is a player-coach role, where you’ll lead a small team of 2 Charter Sales Executives while also carrying your own individual sales target.

Beyond closing deals, you’ll take ownership of scaling the Private Hire business unit, helping optimise the sales motion, systems, and processes that support predictable growth across the UK & Ireland.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own, manage, and grow Zeelo’s Private Hire (Charter) business unit across the UK & Ireland, carrying a personal sales quota alongside responsibility for team performance.
  • Act as a player-coach, leading, supporting, and developing a team of 2 Charter Sales Executives while remaining actively involved in closing deals.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close Private Hire / Charter opportunities across large events, seasonal peak demand, and ad-hoc customer transport needs.
  • Increase share of wallet within existing Zeelo customers by complementing core commuter services with Private Hire solutions.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to drive pipeline through targeted campaigns, outbound activity, and market insights.
  • Own and embed sales systems and processes for the Private Hire vertical, including contributing to and supporting the HubSpot migration, deal hygiene, and reporting standards.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking in HubSpot.
  • Ensure smooth handover of won business to Operations, supporting reliable delivery and strong customer outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in B2B sales, ideally within services, logistics, transport, events, or another operationally complex environment.
  • Proven ability to carry and close an individual sales target.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others, with a hands-on approach.
  • Comfortable responding to RFPs, tenders, or structured customer proposals.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with confidence around pricing, margins, and deal structures.
  • Experience implementing, improving, or operating within CRM systems and sales processes (HubSpot preferred).
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, evolving organisation, where structure is being built alongside growth.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience selling Private Hire / Charter transport, events transport, mobility, or logistics solutions.
  • Exposure to expansion, cross-sell, or share-of-wallet growth within existing customers.
  • Experience helping build or scale a new sales vertical or business unit.
  • Background in a scale-up environment
Why Zeelo:
  • Mission-driven work: Every commute we power helps reduce CO₂ emissions and makes work more accessible especially in areas with limited public transport
  • Real ownership: Play a key role in growing and shaping a core commercial revenue stream.
  • Collaborative culture: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to win and deliver together.
  • Global exposure: Be part of a 120+ person team across the US, UK, and Spain
  • Best-in-class tech: Our platform is redefining how organizations move their people
  • Supportive Benefits: Pension, Life Assurance, Private Medical coverage, 26 days annual leave plus your birthday off and a £250 learning stipend. Social events throughout the year as well as lunch club Fridays!
