Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our Partner team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical sales background, industry expertise, and a proven track record of working with partners in the UK. This role involves designing and proposing solutions, conducting product demos, and providing technical support to drive revenue growth through our partners.

What will I be doing:

As the Channel Solutions Engineer you will have a strong understanding of channel sales strategies, partner ecosystems and how to enable partners for success. You will be aware of industry trends, competitor offerings and emerging technologies will have the ability to align technical activities with the goal of driving revenue growth through the channel. Responsibilities also include:

  • Understanding the sales cycle and how to align technical solutions with business needs to drive sales,
  • Communicating complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences,
  • Building and maintaining relationships with channel partners as well as working with them to resolve conflicts and ensure mutual success,
  • Contributing to wider technical initiatives or projects outside of the day-to-day SE role,
  • Transferring knowledge, mentoring and assisting peers, and adding to knowledge bases.

What experience do I need:

We welcome applications from individuals with extensive experience in a technical sales engineering role (preferably within a channel or partner ecosystem) with exposure to industries relevant to our products (cybersecurity, cloud computing, networking). You will have experience working with/supporting channel partners, value-added-resellers or distributors and be able to design and propose solutions that meet the specific needs of partners and their customers. You will also likely have:

  • Strong competitor knowledge and excellent skills at de-positioning,
  • Experience in conducting product demos and technical presentations,
  • Strong problem-solving skills to assist partners with technical issues or challenges during the sales process,
  • An understanding of the MEDDPPIC sales methodology is desirable.

It is likely during the application process you will be tested on your understanding of Darktrace products, solutions and technology stack, and how we integrate with other systems and technologies.
