Job Title:  Category Manager

Location: London Office - Hybrid

Job Description

Along side the Senior Category Manager, the successful candidate will be seen by Galderma's valued customers as the trusted Category advisor.  Leading the Category agenda within the business, the Category Manager will be in driving short and long term category growth and profitably for our customers and our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates, manages and strengthens relationships with key personnel across varied departments within our retail & e-comm partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring that a credible and objective voice is heard and a solid and trustworthy partnership is delivered.
  • Drives distribution and share of shelf growth in existing and new customers, investigating and flagging opportunities for new product launches and incremental listings to drive market share.
  • Implements category and customer plans to drive the overall business that is aligned with the Consumer Business Unit objectives and customer strategies.
  • Champions Customer and Shopper plans to help define channel priorities for the market/category, creating bespoke strategies and opportunities.
  • Optimises existing data and insights to develop new perspectives which drives the Category objectives and strategy
  • Utilises existing data points to improve and increase Galderma’s share of shelf both in store & online.
  • Leads the development of compelling trade stories to drive the expansion of Galderma distribution and category growth.
  • Collaborates with the Sales and Marketing teams, continuously evaluating the effectiveness of our trade investments plan where necessary to maximise ROI

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree level education (Commercial education, e.g., business, economics, administration preferable but flexible)
  • 3+ years commercial experience in FMCG Category Management or Buying/Trading
  • Acquaintance within beauty, health or personal care industry
  • A demonstrable record of success working with agencies
  • Strong data analysis, organising and prioritisation skills
  • Microsoft Proficiency
  • Passionate about the beauty industry and always ahead of the game with industry trends and innovation
  • An entrepreneurial, adaptable and confident mindset
