eBay Live is a new way to sell on eBay, where sellers and buyers interact live on video. eBay sellers build buyer trust, expand their customer base, and grow repeat business through consistent and engaging live streams on eBay Live. eBay buyers can view, chat, ask questions, give feedback, vote, and buy online during eBay Live selling.

We are looking for an experienced Category Manager who can join this exciting growing programme and play a pivotal role in driving scale and success. You will work closely with our sellers to help them succeed on this new platform, and be responsible for delivering GMV targets. What you will accomplish:

  • Bring market expertise to deliver a daring eBay Live GMV target

  • Define criteria for selecting sellers to onboard to eBay live, using pattern recognition, analytics, and forecasting to define who is most likely to succeed

  • Develop positive relationships with strategic sellers to build out programming and recruit new sellers to the platform

  • Shepherd sellers through the onboarding process, helping us identify issues and build processes, tools, and workarounds to address them

  • Understand drivers of success on the eBay live platform and mentor your portfolio of sellers accordingly - across assortment, live host, production, selling formats, marketing, etc.

  • Advocate for sellers with cross functional teams, come up with solutions to problems, seed new programs to help sellers be successful, lobby for them, and activate against them

  • Contribute to shaping the future structure of the UK Live category team

  • Work closely with the core Collectibles & Fashion categories and Marketing teams to drive success

What you will bring:

  • Experience and interest in live selling formats

  • Category management experience preferably in Collectables and/or Fashion

  • Deep understanding of our platform

  • Strong project management, organisation, and partner engagement skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Customer emotional intelligence

  • Ability and willingness to travel to support events including at weekends
