We’re looking for a Category Management Client Lead who expects more from their career. It’s a chance to become a trusted partner to Tesco, defining and delivering upon the strategic needs of their Space, Range and Merchandising function. It’s an opportunity to work with a market-leading business, make a real impact in driving growth for our clients, and in turn grow the dunnhumby business. 

Joining our Tesco UK Retail team, you’ll work with world class and passionate people, collaborating with data scientists, product managers, capability experts and retail colleagues to deliver merchandising capabilities for Tesco and dunnhumby. You’ll play a key role in transforming Tesco’s planogram processes to be even more customer-focused, automated and led by dunnhumby insight at every stage. You’ll build strong relationships with our Tesco clients to fully understand their needs and align with them on innovative solutions. You’ll support the development of, test, deploy and evaluate our merchandising solutions, and work alongside our ranging capability leads. 

What we expect from you 

  • Experience in building strong client relationships and managing stakeholders 
  • Experience of analysing data to solve challenging problems and deliver business value 
  • Experience in leading or supporting strategic projects, ideally involving delivery through other teams such as data science and technology 
  • Ability to distil the complex into simple terms 
  • Ability to work through ambiguous problems and find pragmatic solutions 
  • Experience in a retailer, supplier or consultancy, ideally in the FMGC industry 
  • Experience in working collaboratively with data science and technology teams 
  • Category management experience, particularly on merchandising is desirable but not essential
