As we look to continue our growth, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic institutional sales.  The ideal candidate has experience building relationships within the German cash equity market and possesses strong selling capabilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a big impact to our business by driving revenue and building out our market participant network.

What you’ll do:

As an Institutional Sales you will have the chance to play key role in growing Optiver's DCP (direct counterparty) franchise. As well as growing more DCP interactions, you will play a part of helping steer the trading desks' evolution and growth into new markets. Specifically you will:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with counterparts in the German cash equity space.
  • Assist traders in their direct trading with counterparts - guiding on sequence dialogue and giving context to help trading price most effectively.
  • Support trading's growing understanding of both individual and wider DCP sector trading, to help inform their trading efforts.
  • Develop participant profiles, reports and analyses.
  • Work with marketing team to develop and maintain content as it pertains to direct trading initiatives.
  • Attend conferences and seminars for related products.

Who you are:

  • Extensive experience in Cash Equity Institutional Sales.
  • Detailed knowledge of and established professional network in the German cash equity market.
  • Relevant experience within top tier direct competitor or global investment bank highly desirable.
  • Strong experience building relationships within cash equities space and strong selling capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel and meet face to face with prospective and current counterparties.
  • An ability to entertain and manage the organisation of events.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset willing to take ownership in order to develop exciting projects.
  • A pro-active nature that allows you to learn quickly and impact counterparties autonomously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Deep understanding of rules and regulations governing the markets we trade.
