POSITION OVERVIEW - Capital Markets Sales

Apex is looking for an experienced Capital Markets Sales to join its London based Sales Team.

 

Our single-source solution provides a tailored and comprehensive range of administrative, trust, agency and banking services to support conventional as well as structured debt capital markets and loan market transactions.

We partner with a broad spectrum of market participants including banks and non-bank financial institutions, private equity, asset managers, consultants and law firms, building on our global network for both local and international cross-border deals.

 

Reporting to the Global Head of Capital Markets Sales you will be responsible for originating and completing mandates across the entire spectrum of Debt Capital Markets as well as Loan Finance transactions globally. You will also have the opportunity to work on cross product transactions leveraging Apex’s global fund, financial and corporate services offering.

 

We are looking for a person who enjoys working within an innovative minded environment.

Whilst Sales/Business Development experience are a plus we are open to candidates with strong networks built from other functional roles.

 

The role will include

  • Developing relationships within the debt capital markets, structured finance and loan space
  • Originating, solutioning and executing new transactions
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and partnering with sales colleagues in initial services scoping to fully appreciate client requirements on new opportunities
  • Preparation and presentation of deal documentation for internal committees
  • Defining a sales strategy and engagement plan to grow Apex’s business profile across key markets and products
  • Periodic reporting on KPIs
  • Attending relevant industry events globally

 Your skills, expertise and experience should include

  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry with an existing network
  • A solid understanding of some of the following transaction types and related administration, trust and agency roles: Structured finance/credit, Securitisations/ABS, CLOs/CDOs, Conventional Debt, Loan financings, Escrow
  • Able to simultaneously work on a variety of complex mandates coordinating multiple product lines under tight delivery deadlines
  • Client centric with an eye for detail and the ability to problem-solve
  • Willing to navigate and cross-sell the extensive wider Apex single-source solution
  • Communicative personality with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
