About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our team at a Nottingham City Council residential care home. This is a varied and rewarding role that plays a vital part in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy care setting.

As a Business Support Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the home, acting as a key point of contact for residents, families, professionals and visitors. Responsibilities will include answering telephone calls, responding to office enquiries, managing correspondence and ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Additional duties will include photocopying, printing, filing and archiving documents, ordering equipment and supplies, maintaining records and supporting the management of small financial transactions. You will also assist with the processing, monitoring and auditing of information to ensure compliance with organisational procedures and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, have excellent communication and customer service skills, and be able to manage a varied workload in a professional and confidential manner. Previous administrative experience is desirable, along with good IT skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

·         A strong background in administration

·         IT skills including all Microsoft Packages

·         Experience of working within a care or residential home environment

·         Excellent customer service background


-          This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.

-          A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
