Job Tile: Business Development Manager
Location: Field based

Package: Competitive salary + OTE + company car

In this role, you will work within our System Certification business where you will own and manage your own territory. You’ll create a partnership with our clients, building an in-depth understanding of their business needs and drivers as well as, identifying and managing sales as opportunities in specific relation to our core ISO standards. This can include management system standards such as; ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO14001 Environmental Management, ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management and ISO 27001 Information Security management systems. 

 
You will own and manage the complete sales process from initial conversations, to building complex quotations through to a successful conclusion. This position is field based and when you are not travelling you will work from home. We are particularly interested in applications of those based in the North-west & Scotland, however with the right profile we are happy to consider those based elsewhere in the UK!

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to win new business through growth of existing accounts and outbound activities

  • Continuously seek opportunities to cross sell and/or upsell existing products and services

  • Routinely review sales activity and quality KPIs, based on sales ratios to plan future sales activities to deliver on financial and activity targets.

  • Create complex quotations in-line with compliance requirements

  • Remain up to date with developments in the standards industry

  • Effectively convey complex ideas and business proposals showing breadth and depth of BSI product offering

  • General administrative duties including updating Salesforces and CRM

About you:
For this role, you will need to have proven field-based solution sales experience, selling multiple products and services across a range of sectors. You’ll have demonstrable experience in nurturing client relationships with the ability to influence across all levels including the c-suite. You’ll bring energy, new ideas and proven experience of sustained over achievement in new business and account management.

Additional skills include:

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills

  • Experience of working in a KPI driven environment

  • Self-motivated and adaptable to be able to work with minimal supervision

  • Working knowledge of the certification industry would be an advantage

  • Previous experience of Salesforce would also be an advantage
