Business Development Manager

AND Digital are a tech company focused on accelerating digital delivery and dedicated to closing the digital skills gap. We’ve been helping organisations build better digital products and stronger digital teams since 2014.

We believe our work should always make a remarkable impact for our clients. We do this through our regional offices (or ‘Clubs’) building strong relationships with our partners, so that they are always prioritised by a team within close proximity.

This unique model has driven success for our clients and ourselves, evidenced by our remarkable organic growth since 2014. Today we number more than 1,300 people with Clubs all over the UK, Europe and the USA with plans for global expansion in the next couple of years.

About You

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing new client opportunities of all sizes, guiding them from initial contact through to closing. As a result, you will need to be able to:

  • As a senior sales professional, you will build strong, trusted relationships by deeply understanding the priorities and challenges faced by CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, and CEOs. You will act as a strategic advisor, helping them solve critical problems and thoughtfully challenging their perspectives on digital products, customer experiences and transformation initiatives.
  • You will bring a broad and insightful understanding of the technology and professional services landscape, combining technical expertise with business acumen to identify key challenges and uncover new opportunities for growth.
  • Win new clients as part of a team - In this role as a senior sales person, you will own the sales process from initial contact through to close, skilfully navigating complex client environments and coordinating multiple stakeholders to secure new business. You will be accountable for achieving ambitious annual targets and driving sustained revenue growth in the region.

Your performance will be measured primarily by the number and quality of new clients secured by you and the team. You will be expected to close deals generating approximately £3-6 million in revenue. As AND’s services are specialised, they may not be suitable for every client organisation. We aim to establish long-term, sustainable, “win-win” partnerships with a diverse range of clients, from enterprise companies to startups.

To do that, it’s essential that you bring the following:

  • Extensive business development experience and proven success focused on mid-market clients across various industries.
  • Strong relationship management skills, adept at quickly building rapport and maintaining well-organised, collaborative partnerships.
  • Working knowledge in three or more of the following areas: digital, business strategy, marketing, technology, data and AI,  Agile, change management, and business transformation.
  • Working experience with our alliance partners like AWS, Snowflake, Microsoft and Google.
  • Credible and confident engaging with C-suite executives, understanding the challenges they face, and effectively supporting their strategic decision-making and problem-solving approaches.

It's helpful if you also have:

  • Have a strong executive network in the region that would be buyers of AND
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and being part of a small, dynamic team; able to work autonomously, but also an effective team player
  • Collaborative approach to working with internal teams, where no new client is closed without the support of other ANDis across our teams which includes solution directors
  • Organised, structured and creative

Joining AND

From the work we deliver, to the way we serve and support our people, we work hard to ensure that there’s nowhere quite like AND. But joining a company is a two-way street: the fit has to work on both sides. So before you apply, here’s three key things to understand about us:

  • We’re built for people - like, real humans. Not ‘resources’ or ‘staff’. That means happiness and wellbeing really do matter to us, and we hate unnecessary hierarchy and bureaucracy.
  • There’s no well-trodden path ahead: AND is growing fast and forging a new trail. That’s exciting, and gives us all the autonomy and opportunity we love - but bear in mind it also demands focus, patience and resilience.
  • Diversity is a priority. After all, to build great products that a wide variety of different people love to use, we need a wide variety of people to help us build them. So diversity is more than a policy or a word: it’s business critical for us.
