Hello. We’re Teya.

Teya was founded on a simple belief: local businesses deserve better.

They are the cafés, restaurants, salons, shops and entrepreneurs that bring character to our high streets, create jobs and keep communities moving. Yet for too long, financial services has made life harder for them - with clunky tools, poor support and complexity that gets in the way of running a business.

Teya exists to change that.

We’re building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe - one built around simple tools, thoughtful design and real human support. Our Members rely on us to help them run their business with confidence, and that responsibility shapes the way we work.

We move fast. We care about quality. We stay close to the detail. And we believe great performance and genuine hospitality should go hand in hand.

If you want to build meaningful products, solve real problems and make a genuine difference for local businesses, we’d love to hear from you

Your mission

Drive Teya's UK growth strategy by owning the full sales cycle for our highest-value prospects, from first conversation to signed deal.

You'll act as a trusted partner, not just a vendor, bringing judgment and independence to complex, relationship-led deals. This is a high standards role built around closing with confidence, fair commission, and progression over time.

What will you be doing?Building the Pipeline
  • Win new business through your own network, inbound leads, partnerships, and referrals.

  • Keep a sharp, structured pipeline using CRM data and market intelligence.

  • Turn inbound and referral leads into qualified opportunities, fast.

Winning Trust
  • Get under the skin of a customer's business — their challenges, goals, and pressures.

  • Build the kind of rapport that turns a first call into a long-term partnership.

  • Bring consultative selling that shows a real understanding of their world, not a script.

Closing the Deal
  • Run prospecting, presentations, and negotiations that convert.

  • Manage the sales process end-to-end, from first call to signed agreement and onboarding.

  • Keep every contract accurate and fully compliant with internal processes.

  • Apply sharp, strategic sales thinking to lift conversion and customer value.

Knowing the Product
  • Master Teya's full product and service range.

  • Position the right solution for the right customer, backed by market insight.

  • Feed real customer insight back to Product to shape what we build next.

Representing the Brand
  • Carry Teya's brand and values into every interaction.

  • Represent Teya at events and in local business communities.

  • Be the trusted point of escalation for complex customer needs.

Reporting & Compliance
  • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date.

  • Track and report KPIs across activity, conversion, and retention.

  • Follow internal policy and data protection standards.

Your story

You’ll be expected to bring drive, resilience, and commercial awareness while balancing customer focus with commercial outcomes. To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years in a customer-facing or sales role.

  • Background in fintech, payments, or SaaS preferred.

  • Experience selling into hospitality, retail, and similar sectors.

  • Track record selling into mid-market and enterprise accounts.

  • A proven history of hitting or beating sales targets.

  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role.

  • Fluent English, spoken and written.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • High personal integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to spot real issues and build solutions that work for both sides.

  • Strong organisation to juggle prospecting, meetings, and follow-ups without dropping the ball.

  • A collaborative mindset as a strong teammate who shares knowledge and lifts those around them.

The Perks

  • On top of your basic salary, you will be able to earn uncapped commission with typical on-target earnings of £80,000-£100,000 in your first year.

  • Thorough onboarding and training

  • 25 days of Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

  • Clearly defined career progression ladder and growth opportunities within the business

  • Physical and mental health support through our partnership with Wellhub, 1-1 therapy sessions, meditation sessions and access to digital fitness and nutrition apps

  • Extended and improved maternity and paternity leave choices

  • Private Medical and Life Insurance

  • Pension Scheme
