We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Europe. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence, leveraging Taura’s exceptional product offerings and IFF’s extensive network.
The location of this role will preferably be Olen, Belgium, but it can be flexible across Europe (second preferred option would be Germany).

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for profitable sales growth at Global & Regional key accounts for assigned product lines in defined area (category, region)
  • Deep-dive Specialist (technical/commercial) with regards to the specialty Inclusions products, their key application areas and relevant Categories they belong to
  • Helps to define strategy for Global & Regional Key Accounts with regards to the Inclusions portfolio & keeps overview with regards to the Inclusions business, including project pipeline
  • Supports the regional sales organization in rolling out and executing the Inclusions Business Development strategy on a customer level
  • Commercialize Taura’s new innovations, detect white gaps, spot opportunities
  • Manages complex customer projects (cost & price, regulatory, technical., compliance, etc) and leads cross-functional teams within Inclusions to design the right solution for the customer
  • Interfacing between the customer, the Nourish sales team and the broader Inclusions organization (Ops, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance)
  • Visits key and high potential accounts on need-to basis with regards to pro- and reactive projects

Key processes

  • Supporting project realization & execution at the Global & Regional Key Accounts
  • Being the go-to person for technical/commercial support on complex projects
  • Supporting white gap analysis, opportunity identification and conversion
  • Leading cross-functional product line teams to design the right solution for the customer

Capabilities

  • Qualification in Food Technology/Science and/or in business/management,  5 years’ business development and sales experience.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Strong expertise in a relevant/comparable product line from a technical/commercial angle
  • Strong marketing skills and ability to ‘switch hats’ between technical, marketing and sales perspective
  • Analytical skills and financial plus technical acumen
  • Opportunity and results orientation with a can-do attitude
  • Prioritization, complexity management, ability to communicate choices and saying ‘no’ if needed
  • Influencing and interpersonal skills in a matrix organization without direct reporting lines
  • Ability to build strong relationships in virtual and remote cross-functional teams
  • At least bilingual English + major European language (preferably German or Italian). Dutch is an asset.
