The Business Development Manager - UK will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Shield AI’s V-BAT business across Europe, with a primary focus on strategy development, execution, and market expansion in the UK. This individual will be responsible for engaging with customers and end users to enhance awareness of Shield AI’s cutting-edge solutions while strengthening the company’s brand presence. Operating within a dynamic, high-performing team, this role demands a high level of responsibility, accountability, and a results-driven approach to achieving strategic business objectives.

What you'll do:

  • Engage with customers regularly to present and discuss Shield AI products
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, or other industry events to espouse Shield AI products
  • Devise and coordinate marketing and government relations opportunities
  • Build and devise the structure of industry partnerships
  • Plan and execute product demonstrations
  • Work cross-functionally to provide responses to or address customers needs
  • Lead proposal response
  • Develop industrial participation strategies
  • Manage team budget

Required qualifications:

  • Willing to reside in or relocate to the UK, with >10 years of military, defense industry, or international business experience.
  • Deep understanding of UK military operations, acquisition processes, and defense systems, with strong government (civil and military) relationships.
  • Exceptional communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, adept at engaging all levels of business and government.
  • Charismatic leader who inspires others and drives excitement for Shield AI’s mission, technology, and products.
  • Strong technical knowledge in UAVs and AI (or the ability to learn quickly) and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly analytical, with a track record of exceeding critical goals.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and willing to travel frequently without restrictions.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Specific defense strategy or business development experience in Europe
  • Prior UAV or AI business development experience in a defense-related context
  • MBA or related Master’s degree in a related field, and 6+ years of leadership and/or operational experience within the UK MoD

Total package details for U.S. based positions:

- Regular employee positions: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity

- Temporary employee positions: Hourly within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days

of employment)

Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. All offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check.
