As we continue to invest in growth across the UK Public Sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to help expand our presence within the Home Office and Central Government market.

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing sales team and play a key role in identifying, shaping and securing strategic opportunities across one of the UK's most important public sector sectors.

Working alongside a highly experienced team of sales, consulting, solution and delivery professionals, you will lead strategic business development activities, build senior customer relationships, and help government organisations solve complex challenges through technology-enabled transformation.

We are looking for a proven sales professional who understands the Home Office and wider Central Government landscape, can navigate complex stakeholder environments, and has a track record of securing and growing significant opportunities within the sector.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy focused on the Home Office and Central Government market, identifying new opportunities, growing existing relationships, and leading opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.

Success in this role requires an individual who combines strategic thinking with strong commercial execution, is comfortable engaging at senior leadership level, and can demonstrate credibility within the government sector.

Experience within Home Office and Central Government is essential. We are seeking someone who brings established sector knowledge, understands the procurement landscape, and can build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on Home Office and Central Government customers.
  • Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities that contribute to revenue growth and pipeline development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across government departments and agencies.
  • Lead complex sales engagements from opportunity identification through to contract signature.
  • Work collaboratively with solution architects, consultants, delivery teams and alliance partners to create compelling client propositions.
  • Develop account growth strategies that expand DXC's presence across existing and new customers.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting information while driving opportunities through the sales process.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and contribute to the development of winning proposals and bids.
  • Represent DXC at industry events, customer forums and networking opportunities.

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrable success in business development, sales or account growth within the Home Office and/or Central Government sector.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement frameworks and buying processes.
  • Experience building relationships with senior decision-makers and influencers across government organisations.
  • Proven ability to shape, qualify and close complex technology or business transformation opportunities.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
  • A strategic mindset coupled with the ability to execute and deliver against ambitious growth targets.
  • Experience working within technology services, digital transformation, consulting, cloud, cyber security, data, infrastructure or managed services environments would be advantageous.
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach, with the ability to influence and inspire diverse teams around a common objective.
