Grant Thornton’s Business Development team is a key route to market, helping the firm connect with ambitious and dynamic businesses. We take the time to understand a business’s needs and introduce them to Grant Thornton’s experts to help them achieve and exceed their commercial ambitions.  

 

Working within Deals and Business consulting, we engage the market through a variety of bespoke campaigns to share Grant Thornton’s expertise and help to secure commercial opportunities for our industry and service line teams.  

 

Engaging directly with the firm’s industry heads and stakeholders, your role will be vital in planning, shaping and executing go-to-market campaigns and strategies to support Grant Thornton’s continued success.

A look into the role  

As a Business Development Executive within our Deals and Business Consulting team you will: 

  • Engage with cold businesses through a variety of campaigns to secure a fixed number of opportunities each quarter for the firm’s industry and service line teams. 
  • Work with industry heads, stakeholders and their teams to build and execute bespoke go-to-market campaigns.  
  • Research, identify and build target lists of businesses in-line with stakeholder’s go-to-market plans and commercial goals.  
  • Attend bi-weekly industry calls to share market insights and provide results and feedback from campaigns with suggestions for future go to market activity.  
  • Maintain accurate records of activity on the firms CRM. 

Knowing you’re right for us  

Joining us as a Business Development Executive the minimum criteria you’ll need is experience working in an origination, business development or sales role, preferably with a large organisation 

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.  

  • Experience with engaging cold businesses via phone and email to secure opportunities. 
  • Experience of working directly with stakeholders and their teams within a large organisation 
  • Experience with building and managing a variety of go-to-market campaigns. 
  • Experience with target research and managing data within a CRM.
