About the DepartmentThe UK Sales Support and Business Development team provides essential pre- and post-sales support to wholesale clients, including Wealth Managers, Model Portfolio Service providers, Financial Advisers, Platform Service Providers, Global Financial Institutions, Private Banks and Strategic Accounts. Working closely with Business Development Directors and the Head of Sales Support, the team handles distributor client inquiries (directly or via Business Development Directors and Managers), coordinates sales and servicing materials, and manages relationships with new or existing professional investors. Team members collaborate across departments and contribute to strategic
projects and high-impact initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
You will support a specific Business Development Director(s) and their wholesale clients, primarily global financial institutions,
private banks and strategically important UK accounts, with
pre- and post-sales service primarily via a shared mailbox but also in person, via Teams and/or via telephone.You will source and help prepare materials for client meetings.
You will attend and/or host pre- and post- sale meetings helping to develop early-stage leads and/or servicing existing assets and/or product approvals.
You will develop and maintain a high-level understanding of
specific Franklin Templeton’s product and services that are sold by the UK sales office in order to communicate externally on our offering.You will manage sales and client data including activity notes and mailing lists in Microsoft Dynamics ensuring that sales reporting is accurate for your client responsibilities.
You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure that Request for Proposal and Due Diligence Questionnaires are completed on time and to the highest of standards.
You will collaborate with internal teams to source high quality
competitor analysis as required.You will handle escalated KYC and Distributor Due Diligence requests from the International Intermediary Lifecycle Team when
intermediaries are being non-responsive.You will maintain accurate sales pipeline records
You will build and update account plans and growth strategies.
You will track client news and adjust engagement plans.
You will coordinate share class access and approvals with Product and TA Oversight teams.
You will assist with onboarding and legal agreement updates
Strategic Responsibilities
You will help grow Franklin Templeton’s Assets in Management (AUM) and market share in the UK (and overseas where decision making is made in the UK on behalf of other markets).
You will help retain existing AUM through client servicing.
You will support specific and team gross and net sales targets.
Team & Collaboration
You will partner with Business Development Directors and Sales Support leadership.
You will collaborate with marketing, product, and portfolio teams.
You will contribute to departmental projects.
You will help organise internal and external events.
You will manage event follow-ups and administration.
What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role:
Experience, Education & Certifications
University degree preferred (not essential).
Ideally 1-3 years’ experience working in client facing/sales support roles in Asset Management.
Investment Management Certificate (IMC) required; support provided.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Soft Skills
Proactive.
Clear and confident communication.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Flexible and client-focused approach.
