What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Dutch-speaking Business Development Associate our Cross-border payments division; this position falls under our Alpha line of business and is located in Jordaan, Amsterdam. In this role, you’ll build and grow your own portfolio of high-value corporate clients, combining new business development with account management. You’ll engage directly with C-suite decision makers at mid-to-large businesses, helping them manage their FX and cross-border payment needs.

We’re looking for ambitious, driven individuals who want to accelerate their careers in a high-performance sales environment. The role offers uncapped, residual commission, meaning you continue earning from the clients you bring on as your portfolio grows. You will report directly to the Managing Director of Netherlands and regularly collaborate with the Alpha Sales teams.

How We Work

As a Business Development Associate, Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Researching and qualifying potential clients to build a database of leads.

  • Owning the telephone – using it to engage and consult with C-level executives of medium-large businesses across a diverse range of sectors; cold calling will be your primary and preferred method of engaging opportunities.

  • Learning your clients’ businesses and working to explore and uncover key problems and challenges, whilst educating them on how Alpha’s solutions can solve them.

  • Working closely with analysts to build and present valuable risk management & payment solutions to clients - in time learning how to develop these solutions yourself.

  • Developing trusted relationships with your existing portfolio of clients to retain their business and grow your portfolio.

  • Over time, learning how to deal independently for your portfolio of clients on the largest traded market in the world.

Qualifications & Skills

You do not require any prior sales / FX experience to work here. As we continue to grow, we are looking to keep our culture at the forefront. Therefore, we instead look for the following characteristics:

  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required due to regular engagement with clients across the Benelux region and international teams.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Urgency.

  • Ability to take feedback onboard instantly.

  • Ambition/motivation to develop both personally and professionally.

  • High level emotional intelligence.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is € 40,800.00 - 61,200.00 EUR gross per year. The final offer will be determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including relevant skills, professional experience, and qualifications. Corpay maintains structured compensation practices and regularly reviews pay to support compliance with equal pay principles and applicable EU legislation. Additional compensation elements, including benefits and variable pay (if applicable), will be discussed during the recruitment process.
