We are looking for a commercially curious, driven Business Development Associate / Researcher who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will join an established and experienced team, with the support to learn and develop alongside the freedom to take ownership of your own activity, relationships and pipeline. From brand activations to live moments that connect fans and audiences worldwide, this is an opportunity to help create memorable work with some of the most iconic names in sport, culture and entertainment.

You do not need to arrive with every door already open. What matters is the confidence and curiosity to start conversations, build meaningful relationships across brands, agencies and rights holders, and develop a network that grows with you.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Generate new business opportunities across our key growth areas: high-value prospects, new sectors, and existing client development.
  • Build and develop your industry network to secure meetings and create meaningful relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Lead on and contribute to pitch opportunities, with support from senior colleagues and the project management team.
  • Manage and update the new business pipeline consistently.
  • Actively use the commercial tracker to provide accurate reporting on all client activity.
  • Prospect and engage potential clients through outbound activity.
  • Develop a full understanding of client needs and challenges, both current and future.
  • Take responsibility for revenue generation from new and prospective clients, as well as cross-selling into existing accounts.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

You’ll probably have some experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account growth or another commercially focused role, and be looking for an opportunity to take the next step in your career. You’ll be a natural relationship-builder who enjoys meeting new people, opening doors and turning conversations into opportunities.

New business takes persistence, so you’ll need to be resilient, self-motivated and comfortable playing the long game. You’ll have the determination to keep opportunities moving through what can sometimes be a lengthy sales cycle, while being commercially curious enough to understand a prospective client’s challenges and think strategically about where LIVE·TEAM can add value. You’ll have plenty of support from an established and experienced team, but we’re looking for someone who wants to take ownership of their own pipeline, build momentum and ultimately shape their own success.

This is a fast-moving and dynamic environment, so you’ll be comfortable juggling priorities, working independently and collaborating with colleagues across the business. The role is based in our Orpington office with a blend of hybrid working, and you’ll need to be comfortable travelling across the UK for client meetings, conferences and events, as well as spending time with colleagues in other THE·TEAM offices.
