Operating within the projects governance frameworks, the role ensures integrated, compliant solutions that align with regulatory, procurement, and project delivery standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagements with business stakeholders to define project concepts, clarify scope, assess impacts, and identify initial risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Capture, evaluate, challenge, and prioritise business requirements in consultation with senior management, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external delivery partners to develop solution options and evaluate these against business and user needs.
  • Prepare robust business cases and investment proposals, articulating clear, tangible benefits and identifying opportunities for maximising value.
  • Act as the custodian of business requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions remain aligned with agreed outcomes.
  • Apply knowledge of emerging trends, best practice, and innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement in business operations.
  • Support business acceptance of new processes and systems, including walkthroughs, testing, and readiness activities.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to the delivery assurance principles and governance standards.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in one or more business architecture disciplines: process management, business analysis, management information, or IT system development.
  • Experience delivering business architecture solutions that remove duplication and improve operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with ONR licence conditions and cyber/nuclear security requirements relevant to IT-enabled change.
  • Experience of formal project management approaches (e.g., PRINCE2, EDF Project Way) and tools.
  • Experience of procurement activities (RFI, ITT) and evaluation processes.
  • Proven experience in developing investment cases for large, complex programmes.

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Strong understanding of business architecture change within complex, evolving environments.
  • Expertise in business process analysis and design, including use of modelling and collaboration tools.
  • Advanced stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.

Desirable

  • Broad knowledge of architecture standards, frameworks, and best practice methods.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to apply a range of analysis techniques to complex problems.
