The Role
Join Howden CAP as a Business Analyst and step into a world of unparalleled opportunities. As part of our CAP team, you'll be instrumental in driving forward an ambitious transformation. This role is uniquely positioned to offer you the chance to work closely with Brokers in a transforming global CPRI market. Your efforts will bridge the gap between business units, internal development teams, IT Infrastructure, and third-party suppliers, ensuring that our projects are delivered flawlessly.
Your expertise will be essential in analysing business processes, identifying gaps, and detailing significant improvements. You'll manage the requirements catalogue/product backlog and be an indispensable point of contact for collaborators. What you'll do
Deliver high-quality business analysis to ensure projects are timely, and within budget.
Gather and analyse requirements using proven methodologies like user stories and backlog building
Lead workshops and prototyping to gather and detail clear, actionable requirements.
Manage the full requirements lifecycle, including analysis, documentation, and organisational change.
Build business requirement supporting materials (e.g., use cases, process diagrams,).
Coordinate UAT, including test script creation and QA support to ensure successful implementation.
Be part of the Broking team and be the main point of contact for requirements, issues, and project queries for the technology team.
Collaborate with team members to manage product backlogs, prioritise tasks, and ensure effective solution delivery.
Facilitate communication to ensure team alignment and resolve conflicts.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
Maintain records, complete regulatory training, and uphold ethical standards.
Who we're looking for
Experience: 2-3 years as a business analyst in the insurance sector/London Market,
Excellent Communication: Confident in navigating conversations with brokers and technical developers with equal ease
Industry Knowledge: Expertise in general and London market insurance,
Tools Proficiency: Skilled in Visio, and wireframing.
Analysis & Delivery: Proficient in conducting gap analysis, prioritizing tasks using the MoSCoW method or equivalent experience, and consistently meeting tight deadlines.
Problem Solving Skills: Ability to unpick complex requirements and finding the consistent and effective way to meet business objective.
Experience of Working with multiple teams: Track record of working effectively across multiple teams and business areas.
Flexibility: Adaptable to Waterfall and Agile environments.
Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience in Computing, IT, or Business; BCS Business Analysis Diploma (or progressing); Chartered Insurance certification desirable.
