Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

A typical day in this role is about working closely with Finance and delivery teams to turn ideas into workable change. You’ll spend time understanding how finance processes work today, exploring what needs to improve, and documenting clear requirements that everyone can agree on. This includes running workshops, asking the right questions, and joining the dots between business needs and technology solutions.

You’ll stay involved as work moves through delivery, helping to prioritise, test and check that changes do what they should. Throughout the day, you’ll balance detail with the bigger picture, making sure risks, controls and data quality are always front of mind.

About you

As a minimum, you’ll have:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to challenge and influence where required

  • Domain experience or knowledge of Finance and/or integration activities

  • An understanding of business processes and how technology supports business process change

  • The ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to elicit requirements & acceptance criteria to ensure the business objectives are met

  • Either experience of, or understanding of, how to gather requirements and manage through their lifecycle, ensuring full traceability

  • Experience of how to produce high-quality process flows, user stories, and other associated documentation

  • You’ll be able to demonstrate your ability to analyse complex issues and identify root causes

  • Knowledge of using structured tooling (e.g., Jira/Confluence) to maintain documentation, actions and transparent progress

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

  • Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers’ shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind

  • Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we’re honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand

  • Push for better - We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development

  • Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes

You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
