The opportunity:

The Change Delivery team shapes and leads the end-to-end delivery of MINT’s strategic programmes and operational change priorities in collaboration with business teams and IT. The team currently comprises of three main capabilities – business analysis, programme/project management and portfolio management office.

A Business Analyst is needed to support the delivery of strategic priorities. The Business Analyst will work with business leaders, business teams and IT in the delivery of new projects. The Business Analyst is part of the Change Delivery team and joins a community of business analysts and product owners involved in the delivery of business change across Markel International.

The Business Analyst will report to a Lead Business Analyst in Change Delivery and work closely with the relevant business teams to define process changes and technology requirements for a range of projects. They will then work to deliver these changes to the business, supporting solutioning, development, testing and adoption. The role includes identifying operational process changes to ensure a successful launch and adoption of the change.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including senior management, to understand and gather their requirements and align development activities with overall business strategy and stakeholder needs
  • Work with IT teams to deliver actionable requirements and test plans
  • Develop and deliver change management plans to ensure user adoption of new technology and processes.
  • Investigate, analyse, challenge and define the detailed business processes and requirements
  • Identify project / business risks and issues and propose mitigating actions
  • Ensure business engagement, ownership and sign-off of new/existing business processes and associated system functionality at appropriate milestones
  • Track user adoption and report on benefits realization to management in collaboration with business owners.

  • Experience and knowledge of project delivery within financial services or technology related industry
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the capability to develop a partnership approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional team collaboration – build strong relationships with existing team
  • Ability to work independently and mange your own time as well as other resources within the project 
  • Capacity to navigate change, lead uncertainty, and remain focused in a dynamic industry landscape.
