Job Description:

DXC Technology is a global technology services company with a long-established Insurance Software & Business Process Services (ISB) business supporting customers across the global insurance industry.

Our Insurance Software & BPS business provides software and services across life, wealth, health, commercial & specialty, property & casualty and reinsurance. DXC is also a key partner to the London Market, supporting customers with technology, digital transformation and business process services.

As a leading provider of core technology to the insurance industry, DXC helps insurers protect their technology investments, extend their capabilities and transform their operations at a pace aligned with their business needs. Our portfolio includes the DXC Assure Platform and a broad range of insurance software, technology and services supporting customers globally.

This is an exciting time to join our Insurance Software business as we continue to support customers through changing market demands, digital transformation and the evolution of the London Market.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Insurance Software & BPS transformation environment, helping turn customer, market and business needs into clear, prioritised and actionable requirements.

Working across business, transformation, architecture, change and delivery teams, you’ll help establish what needs to change, why it matters and what successful delivery looks like.

You’ll bring structure and clarity to complex and sometimes ambiguous requirements, ensuring they are documented consistently, traceable to the original business need and linked to measurable outcomes.

This is a hands-on Business Analyst role with involvement throughout the change lifecycle, from understanding business processes and gathering requirements through to defining acceptance criteria, supporting delivery and validating that solutions meet the agreed business need before cutover.

Experience within banking, insurance or the London Market would be particularly valuable.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working closely with the Business Analysis Lead and wider transformation community, you’ll help provide clarity and consistency across the programme.

You’ll:

  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand business and market needs and translate them into clear, structured and prioritised requirements.
  • Analyse existing business processes to understand the current position, identify opportunities for change and help define future requirements.
  • Elicit, analyse and document requirements to a consistent standard, enabling solutions to be effectively designed, built and tested.
  • Connect requirements to measurable business outcomes and maintain traceability from the original need through to implementation.
  • Work with the Business Analysis Lead and wider stakeholders to define meaningful outcome measures and clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Support stakeholders in prioritising requirements according to business needs and expected outcomes.
  • Ensure requirements are reviewed, agreed and formally signed off before progressing into build.
  • Work collaboratively across transformation, architecture, change and delivery teams to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguity.
  • Assess proposed changes and understand their potential impact on existing requirements, processes and agreed outcomes.
  • Highlight material impacts to the Business Analysis Lead before commitments are made.
  • Support solution validation to ensure what is delivered meets the agreed business need and acceptance criteria before cutover.
  • Maintain high standards of Business Analysis documentation and contribute to a consistent approach across the wider transformation programme.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role is about creating clarity and maintaining a strong connection between the original customer or business need and the solution ultimately delivered.

You’ll help ensure:

  • Customer, business and market needs are translated into clear and prioritised requirements.
  • Requirements are documented consistently, traceable and formally agreed before build begins.
  • Business processes and the impact of proposed changes are properly understood.
  • Requirements remain connected to measurable business outcomes throughout the transformation lifecycle.
  • Clear and testable acceptance criteria are established.
  • Change impacts are understood before commitments are made.
  • Delivery and testing teams have the clarity they need to work confidently against agreed requirements.
  • Solutions are validated against the original business need and agreed acceptance criteria before cutover.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst who has worked within complex transformation or change environments and is comfortable operating across multiple teams, priorities and stakeholders.

You’ll be naturally analytical and curious, with the confidence to ask the right questions and challenge constructively. You’ll also be able to take complex or ambiguous information and turn it into something clear, structured and practical that different audiences can understand and use.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Strong Business Analysis experience gained within complex transformation or change programmes.
  • Banking, insurance or London Market experience, which would be highly desirable.
  • Strong process analysis and requirements-management experience.
  • Experience eliciting, analysing, documenting and prioritising business requirements.
  • Experience maintaining requirements traceability from initial business need through to implementation.
  • The ability to create clear, concise and testable requirements to a consistent standard.
  • Experience defining measurable outcomes and robust acceptance criteria.
  • Experience supporting requirements sign-off and maintaining effective control as requirements move into build.
  • The ability to assess the impact of proposed changes on requirements, processes and outcomes.
  • Experience supporting solution validation against agreed business needs and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working collaboratively across business, transformation, architecture, change and delivery teams.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the confidence to constructively challenge when requirements are unclear or incomplete.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
  • A structured, analytical approach with strong attention to detail while maintaining sight of the wider business outcome.
Key Relationships

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the wider transformation environment, including:

  • Business Analysis Lead
  • Transformation Portfolio Lead
  • Enterprise Architect
  • Change Manager
  • Heritage Transformation Lead
  • Heritage+ Transformation Lead
  • Market Change Transformation Lead
  • BPS Transformation Lead
