Senior Business Analyst

London - 

£75-85,000 Fixed term contract

Senior Business Analyst

  • Excellent stakeholder management at all levels; both internally and externally
  • Minimum of 3 years of Business Analysis experience.
  • Experience of working as the conduit between the business and IS, leveraging excellent written and oral communication skills to assure a clear translation of business requirements into functional outcomes.
  • Possess strong business acumen, able to quickly pick up the content and business knowledge required, supporting the business through the requirements gathering, design and testing phases.
  • Demonstrable experience in producing comprehensive and accurate documentation (eg process mapping, data flow diagramming), facilitating workshops with the business utilising a variety of business analysis methods embracing GAP analysis, requirements gathering and validation.

Requirement

  • Experience of working on complex projects and programmes involving broad-based business change.
  • Able to manage uncertain or difficult environments, providing challenge as and when required.
  • Producing outputs to a high quality within the standards set by the management team.
  • Experience of agile and waterfall project life cycles within a structured environment, with exposure to working with third-party application development partners.
  • Experience of developing business processes and use of out of the box' thinking to challenge existing processes.
  • A proactive thinker with strong influencing skills and knowing when to act on any key issues that require escalation/support from the BA leadership team.
  • Experience of IT and business working environments with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business functions.
  • For a Senior BA that is leading on a project we would also expect previous experience of creating and managing a team of BAs.

Desirable

  • Exposure to Financial Services and/or working on projects or programmes in a regulatory business environment.
  • Professional Services background/experience.
  • Experience in Target operating Models and wider business design functions.
  • Experience in identifying, developing and implementing best practise.
  • Good working knowledge of RUP/UML and experience of delivering Use Cases.
  • Understanding of Project Management - resource and time management.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • BCS certification
