About the role

As a Business Administrator, you'll provide technical and administrative support to help teams operate effectively and deliver against business objectives. You'll be responsible for managing and maintaining data and information across a range of systems, supporting service delivery plans, coordinating administrative activities, and ensuring compliance with business processes.

Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll ensure processes are followed accurately support operational performance and contribute to the successful delivery of business objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing and maintaining data across a range of systems and platforms, ensuring accuracy, quality, GDPR compliance, and adherence to organisational standards

  • Creating, updating, and maintaining records, work requests, and supporting documentation to enable the timely delivery of production plans

  • Receiving, validating, and distributing data and associated information to ensure records remain accurate and up to date

  • Monitoring and analysing data to support billing, performance reporting, and operational decision-making

  • Researching, compiling, and reporting information to support business and operational requirements

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery plan requirements are met

  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities

  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications and other electronic systems

  • Able to work independently whilst building effective working relationships.

  • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Customer-focused and committed to delivering a high-quality service

  • Proactive, adaptable and keen to learn new skills

Essential skills and experience

  • Proficient in maintaining data accuracy and meeting compliance standards

  • Attention to detail in managing and reporting information

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, Geospatial Management Information Systems)

  • Familiarity with GDPR and other regulatory requirements

Location & working pattern

We embrace a hybrid working model at OS, because we believe in flexibility and balance.  You’ll be based at our fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire, where you'll spend 50% of your working week collaborating face-to-face with colleagues. It’s all about combining the best of both worlds connection and autonomy to help you thrive.  

Security & eligibility
