The opportunity 

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Digital, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Lead for the Business Unit Grid Automation to join our team shaping the future of energy through digital innovation, datadriven insights, and AIenabled solutions. In this role, you will drive data and AIenabled value creation by converting business strategy into prioritized AI initiatives, ensuring measurable impact across operations, decisionmaking, and innovation. This position offers the opportunity to grow your career within the newly established Digital Transformation Organization, collaborate with global stakeholders, and shape the future of Transformer solutions. The location for this role is flexible and will be determined in subsequential stages.

  • Inspire, develop, and grow highperforming Data, Analytics, and AI teams aligned behind a shared vision. 

Your background 

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. 

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CAIP, advanced AI/ML certifications) highly valued. 

  •  Commitment to ongoing education through workshops, conferences, and courses to stay updated with the latest AI advancements. 

  • Extensive 15+ years of experience in roles related to business process management or program implementation in a manufacturing industry.  

 Leadership & Influence:  

  • Effective communication skills with a proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders at all levels, fostering a collaborative environment to drive initiatives. 

  • Demonstrated competence in influencing and motivating teams to adopt new processes, reduce resistance, and achieve successful transitions to globally harmonized practices. 

Strategic & Technical Acumen: 

  • Deep understanding of data, analytics, AI/GenAI technologies, machine learning and analytics platforms. 

  • Strong analytical skills to tackle complex data and/or AI challenges. 

  • Awareness of ethical considerations in AI development and deployment. 

  • Able to bridge strategy, governance, and execution.
