You will have a strong understanding of the Build to Rent sector, with experience working with operators, investors, asset managers and developers. You'll be comfortable winning new business, growing key accounts and building relationships across the industry.

The Build to Rent team is in a good place and performing well. Following two team members moving on to external promotions, there is an opportunity for a manager to recruit new talent, shape the team and help drive the next phase of growth.

You will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Product and Marketing to grow OTM's presence within the Build to Rent sector and maximise opportunities for our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the Build to Rent market, identifying where the greatest opportunities exist to grow advertisers, revenue and market share.
  • Manage your own sales target, territory and client portfolio, leading from the front and setting the standard through personal performance.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop new team members, providing coaching, support and ongoing development.
  • Generate new business opportunities and win new Build to Rent clients for OTM.
  • Understand the OTM Build to Rent product suite and how it can help clients achieve their leasing and marketing goals.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and build relationships with key decision-makers across the Build to Rent sector.
  • Meet with new and existing clients to strengthen relationships and uncover commercial opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with head office stakeholders, operational teams and site-based teams.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with new and existing clients.
  • Monitor team performance, manage risks and communicate results and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver presentations and proposals to new and existing clients, clearly demonstrating the value of OTM's products and services.
  • Interpret market and performance data to support client discussions and demonstrate the value of OTM's products and services.
  • Represent OTM at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities across the Build to Rent sector.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record of sales success in a B2B environment. Experience selling online marketplaces, portals or property-related solutions is highly desirable.
  • Previous management or leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop and motivate a successful sales team.
  • Strong Build to Rent sector knowledge and experience working with operators, investors, asset managers and developers.
  • Demonstrable success in both winning new business and growing existing client relationships over the medium and long term.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and objection-handling skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage personal and team performance against targets and objectives.
  • Ability to conduct professional face-to-face meetings, strategic account reviews and new business presentations.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • A consultative sales approach, with a passion for relationship building and helping clients solve commercial challenges.
  • Ability to navigate large organisations, identifying decision-makers, influencers and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to use data and insights to support decision making.
  • Candidates must possess a current and valid driver's licence.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.
