As we continue to expand our data and AI capabilities, we are seeking a Data Automation & AI Analyst to join our Global Automation and Visualisation team. This position is based in the UK and is a key contributor to our mission of embedding intelligent automation and AI-driven reporting across the business.
Reporting to the Analytics Director, the Data Automation & AI Analyst will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, automating reporting workflows, and developing AI-assisted solutions that deliver fast, reliable insights across key commercial functions.

As we continue to expand our data and AI capabilities, we are seeking a Data Automation & AI Analyst to join our Global Automation and Visualisation team. Reporting to the Analytics Director, the Data Automation & AI Analyst will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, automating reporting workflows, and developing AI-assisted solutions that deliver fast, reliable insights across key commercial functions.

What You'll Do
Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
- Design, build, and maintain SQL-based data pipelines within Snowflake to consolidate and transform data from multiple sources including POS, retail, and internal systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting datasets.
- Use Python to automate recurring data processes, reducing manual effort and improving the reliability and speed of data delivery.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, working with upstream data owners to implement lasting fixes.
- Explore and implement AI-assisted approaches to data transformation, anomaly detection, and process automation.
Reporting & Data Infrastructure
- Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and recurring reports to provide clear visibility into commercial and financial KPIs.
- Develop and document reusable data models and reporting assets that can be leveraged across the business.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports covering sales, distribution, pricing, and promotions using SQL and Power BI.
- Support cross-functional teams by delivering reliable, well-structured data to sales, marketing, and operations.
- Contribute to the development of a self-service analytics environment, enabling teams to access AI-powered insights with minimal technical support.
AI & Automation Innovation
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools and large language models (LLMs) into existing data workflows and reporting processes.
- Support the adoption of Microsoft Copilot and other AI-assisted tools within the analytics function.
- Contribute to the development of automated insight generation, helping the business move from manual reporting to intelligent, always-on data products.
- Stay current with developments in AI and data automation, bringing new ideas and approaches to the team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and demand planning teams to understand data needs and deliver fit-for-purpose automated solutions.
- Contribute to ad-hoc data requests in response to business questions or performance fluctuations.
- Translate complex technical work into clear, accessible outputs for non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a data analytics, data engineering, or automation role, ideally within a UK retail or FMCG environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL - including complex queries, data modelling, and working with large relational datasets; experience with Snowflake is preferred.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis (e.g. pandas, numpy).
- Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks - including Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, or LLM-based workflows.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
- Experience working with POS or retail data is a strong advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to present technical work and data outputs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, curious mindset with a genuine interest in AI, automation, and the future of data-driven business.
