The Team: Enterprise Systems 

The Celonis ServiceNow Engineering team drives internal transformation by improving the employee experience and optimizing operations using core ServiceNow modules (ITSM, HRSD, HAM etc.). The Role: Associate ServiceNow Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Associate ServiceNow Engineer to join our co-located Madrid team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or career changers. You will be instrumental in the day-to-day configuration and development of the ServiceNow platform, working closely under the mentorship of senior engineers to learn best practices and technical fundamentals while focusing on delivering high-quality, clearly defined tasks.

The Work You’ll Do:
  • Contribute to configurations, developments, and enhancements within the ServiceNow platform (e.g., configuring forms, writing basic scripts, updating workflows) based on detailed requirements, with opportunities to progressively take on more complex work
  • Translate clear business requirements into technical solutions, focusing on established processes and data structures to promote seamless operations.
  • Plan and execute small, well-scoped releases, collaborating with senior team members or your manager to review changes and ensure alignment with team standards and touchpoints. 
  • Take ownership of solving problems within your area of responsibility, applying sound judgement to determine when to move independently and when to seek input or approval from more experienced team members. 
  • Support end-users and team members by providing functional  support, contributing to documentation, and sharing best practices for effective tool usage. 
  • Learn continuously through regular mentorship and guidance from senior team members, actively apply new knowledge, concepts and approaches to your area of focus. 
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships within the local team to achieve common goals, prioritize efforts with high impact, and communicate clearly and proactively about your progress and outcomes .
The Qualifications You’ll Need:
  • Degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical education. Career changers with technical training or experience are very welcome.
  • Entry-level experience in software development, application support, or enterprise systems administration (including relevant internship experience, academic projects, or hands-on training).
  • Foundational understanding of corporate IT environments, systems and technologies. 
  • Familiarity with  agile project management methodologies (especially SCRUM).
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand new topics, complex systems, and explain them clearly to others. 
  • An eagerness and clear motivation to learn, grow, and take on projects that progressively expand your technical and professional skill set .
  • Initial hands-on experience developing customer-facing interfaces, with application and software development.
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English. Additional languages, like Spanish or German,  are  a plus but not required).
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Availability for a full-time role, 40 hr/week,  based in the Madrid office.
